The Lunch Program
Full bellies help young minds thrive. Have you ever sat in a meeting when your stomach began to growl? Do you remember how hard it was to concentrate?
Now imagine being just 7 years old, trying to pay attention to your teacher while your tummy grumbles. For many children in Lafond, this is not just an occasional distraction. It is daily life. Some students arrive at school with only a few cents in their pocket, enough to buy a small piece of candy for “lunch.”
But thanks to the generosity of our donors, that story is changing.
From hunger to hope:
-
Over 4,000 free lunches are served to students every month.
-
The program also provides jobs for 6 part time kitchen workers, empowering families with income while feeding the community’s children.
-
A warm meal means more than just nutrition. It means students can learn, focus, and grow with full stomachs and full hearts.
-
Because of you, children in Lafond are nourished physically and encouraged emotionally. With each meal, they are reminded they are cared for, supported, and capable of chasing their dreams.

From Dreams to Reality
At Reach Out Lafond, we believe in the power of one. When one life is changed, the impact doesn’t stop there - it echoes throughout families, communities, and generations. These stories represent the heart of our ministry: long-lasting transformation, hope renewed, and the building of a stronger Haitian community.
These stories remind us that ministry is not about numbers; it’s about names. Every supporter, every prayer, every opportunity given creates ripples that extend far beyond what we can see.
Thank you for being part of the ongoing story of hope in Haiti.
