Your participation helps make a difference for Haiti, and we're here to support you every step of the way. Below, you'll find tools and resources to help you promote your fundraising efforts on social media and gather more sponsors. Let's make this event a huge success together!

 

RAISING FUNDS

We know how important it is to spread the word and gather sponsors for your race. That's why we've compiled a few ideas to help you "advertise" your participation and raise funds through social media. You can also use email as a promotional tool!

From an engaging post example to graphics and hashtag suggestions, these tools are designed to help you connect with your network and inspire them to support your run. Explore the resources below to maximize your impact and make your fundraising efforts as successful as possible! 

 

HOW TO RAISE SUPPORT

Are you new to fundraising? Here's a tip! Join the race by first sponsoring yourself with a donation, then invite friends and family to support your run by matching your donation! If they can't match, it's ok to contribute whatever amount they can. Matching funds will multiply the impact of your efforts for Haitian children!

 

SOCIAL TOOLS

*TIP: If you upload the image to your post first, then the text, the image will show instead of the "link" image.

Images: Just download the one(s) you want and then upload to your social post. 
(Download by right-clicking the image, choose Save As, save to computer then upload to social.)

ACCEPTING DONATIONS

You can accept donations in different ways.

  1. When you post on social media with the example text above, they will have the donation link. 

  2. Send them a direct link to the secure fundraising page: Rev it Up 5K Race/Sponsor Form 

  3. Facebook - Reach Out's Facebook 5k fundraiser post, pinned to the top of our page.  facebook.com/ReachOut.LaFond 

  4. You can also accept donations via cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, etc, and transfer the total to us via check or Venmo. Just email the sponsor tracker so we can apply funds to the correct sponsors and send them a tax receipt.  (VENMO link @reachoutlafond) 

  5. To help you keep track of sponsors we have a downloadable form HERE. 

 

RACE REWARDS

Thank you for your incredible support! As a token of our appreciation, you'll earn exclusive rewards at three different levels:

  • Every participant with at least a $25 personal donation will receive a themed race medal!  
  • Participants with at least $500 total sponsored donations will receive a themed race Tee!  (image coming soon!)
  • Participants with at least $1000 total sponsored donations will receive a $50 gift card!
